A game studio in everyone's hands.
Making a great mobile game still takes a studio, years, and an engine built for specialists. We're tearing that open. We're building an AI-native game engine — and the agents that drive it — so anyone can build real, native, high-performance games that scale and actually make money. Come build it with us.
Mobile games are a $150bn+ industry, and almost none of the tooling is built for the people who could be making them. The engines are heavy, the knowledge is specialist, the path from idea to a polished, shippable game is brutal. So most great game ideas never get made.
We think that's about to change. AI can do the heavy lifting of building a game — if it has the right engine underneath it. So we're building that engine in TypeScript, the language AI writes best, and the agentic pipeline on top of it that takes a game from idea to the App Store. People bring the taste; the machine brings the speed. The result is real game-making, in everyone's hands.
It's a hard problem and a genuinely new one. That's exactly why we picked it.
How we work
Open roles
3 roles · London · always interviewingWe hire whenever we meet exceptional people. These seats stay listed even when they're filled: if one reads like it was written about you, apply regardless of timing.
You'll own the engine itself: rendering, effects, physics integration, and the typed API surface our agents write games against. The unusual part of this job is that your primary user is an AI agent. You design APIs a machine can't misuse: budgets built in, jank designed out, game feel available as vocabulary rather than folklore. You'll work directly with the founder, with a strong bench of senior advisors behind the deep specialist calls.
- Build renderer and runtime systems in TypeScript on our custom WebGPU pipeline, 2D and 3D, shipping natively to iOS and Android.
- Hold the performance bar: smooth frame rates on low-end Android, strict frame budgets, allocation-free update loops.
- Design the agent-first APIs for particles, boards, effects and juice: the vocabulary every Kantrip game is composed from.
- Take systems from blank page to shipped game. Your code runs in every title on the platform.
- You've shipped real-time work: games, graphics, or performance-critical mobile. You've fought for frames on a real device and can tell the story line by line.
- Exceptional TypeScript, and comfortable reasoning about GPUs, memory, and garbage collectors.
- You live in AI toolsand find it exciting, not threatening, that your API's main consumer is an agent.
- Based in (or moving to) London, up for building in person.
- You've shipped a mobile game solo, however small.
- Engine, renderer, or physics work in any stack: Unity, WebGL, PlayCanvas, custom.
- Shaders (WGSL/GLSL), React Native internals, or profiling war stories.
